The Syracuse Go Red for Women Luncheon brings together top companies, hospitals and passionate volunteers in the Central New York area.
In 2004, the Go Red for Women campaign was launched to solve a problem – too few women knew about their number one killer: cardiovascular disease. Nearly 17 years later, Go Red for Women have evolved into a global movement and is a driving force being accelerating science, advancing public health policy, addressing the multitude of gender and racial gaps for women in research, healthcare and more, as well as ensuring all women are aware of their greatest health threat, their risks and what they can do to reduce them. Good health is a journey, not a destination and we want to walk hand in hand with women throughout their lifetime as their trusted wellness partner.
Syracuse Go Red for Women- Spread the Message — Get involved!
Our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives for all. We are committed to ensuring that our workforce, workplace, and mission have a shared impact across America's diverse populations.
The Go Red for Women experience continues to be the cornerstone of the Go Red for Women movement in local communities. This empowering gathering focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke, shares stories of people impacted by this issue and raises critically-needed funds to support research and education initiatives.
It is no longer just about wearing red; it’s no longer just about sharing heart health facts. It’s about all women making a commitment to stand together. It is about providing all women with opportunities to prioritize and take charge of their own health; building communities that support and provide access to healthy choices; demanding equal access to healthcare for women and their families; and increasing women in STEM for upcoming generations.
The time is now. The need is critical. Our strength is unmatched. Because there is no greater, more relentless force in the world than women united with passion and purpose.
Here is why!
Funds from Syracuse Go Red for Women (GRFW) yearly campaign including the GRFW Luncheon, provide lifesaving research, programs, education and advocacy for women and their families to lead a healthier, longer life.
They transcend age, race, industry and geography to raise awareness of women’s No. 1 health threat: cardiovascular diseases. Meet the 2021 Go Red for Women Real Women - a sisterhood of survivors who passionately share their personal experiences with heart disease and stroke to empower women to lower their cardiovascular risk.
We honor these fiercely fabulous women, and we thank them for supporting our mission: To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. To meet this year’s Real Women and read their personal stories, visit goredforwomen.org/realwomen.
